It looks as though the recent rumors of a new SimCity title are true. EA announced tonight that an all-new SimCity, dubbed “SimCity,” will be released for the PC (and probably the Mac) sometime in 2013. It’s going to be the first SimCity game that’s fully 3D, and will be the first to feature online multiplayer elements. There will be two editions, a $60 limited edition, and an $80 “digital deluxe” edition. SimCity’s homepage has been revamped with screenshots and tons of information about the game. You’ll find the first trailer video embedded below.

What’s interesting about that video is regarding its comments, as many viewers are complaining about a possibility of SimCity being an Origin exclusive. I don’t really have any complaints about Origin, and don’t see why many are complaining about it.
