A company called Dunu creates headphones (or earphones) that are well built and come with plenty of accessories. You can visit their website (link) for more information or to view other headphones in their inventory. Today, I’ll be reviewing their Area DN-11 earbuds. They retail for $73 (Amazon) and were sent out to me for review.

- 3 pouches/carrying cases
- 7 different pairs of ear tips
- Shirt clip
- Warranty card
The DN-11′s
The DN-11′s feature a single balance armature driver. The earpieces are coated with 50 μ 24k gold. The 3.5 mm jack is also gold plated. The Ares headphones have good build quality and have clear & good sound quality. The bass is lacking compared to other headphones as it does not have a thumping sound. The cable management system does what it is suppose to do but it’s not an adequate solution when the cable tangles and keeps it shape (headphones are wrapped around the hand in a circular motion to use the management system). The price is very high for these headphones so I would suggest passing on these and finding other headphones that have better sound quality.
Pros
- Many different ear tips to choose from for the proper fit
- Different cases/pouches to use
- Gold plated jack for better sound quality (than silver plated)
- 1.2m cord length
- Fairly clear sound quality
- Separation of sounds such as being able to hear the guitar or piano and when the instruments are being used at the same time
- Cord management directly on the headphones
- Cord is thin (may or may not be good to some users)
Cons
- Small tips are hard to install
- Sound seems jumbled in some songs
- Cord tangles and keeps it shape
- Price is a bit high
- Bass is lacking (could use a bit more)
