The Maps application in iOS 6 has been completely redone, according to BGR. It will incorporate a 3D feature, courtesy of the C3 Technologies acquisition by Apple last October. While the actual screenshot is just a mockup, it’s apparently very close to what it will actually look like. You’ll find some low-res shots of the actual app below, and the full-res version of the screenshot here.
Given that the majority of the supplied images are just blurry photos of maps and not of the UI, it’s safe to say that this might be a controlled leak. In the first image, you can see part of a white iOS device. However, the black gap between the glass and the display seems a bit too large. I’m calling shenanigans ’till iOS 6 is actually announced in a few weeks at Apple’s WWDC event.
