[Tutorial] Access Tweetbot’s super secret settings on iPhone and iPad

tweetbot_secret_settings_featured

Earlier today, @EvilPenguin_ spilled the beans on a “Super Secret Settings” screen for Tweetbot on iPhone and iPad. At this menu, you can manually enter your OAuth information, as well as turn on (or off) What The Trend, WWAN streaming, open notifications, and debug logging. You’ll find the instructions (with screenshots for help) below.

Instructions

Here you go:

  1. Go to the Settings menu for Tweetbot.
  2. Scroll all the way down.
  3. Tap both the bottom-right and bottom-left corners at the same time three times.
  4. You’re now at the “super secret settings” menu!

It’s great to have What The Trend support, as some trending topics are usually unknown to most people.

I have my own OAuth consumer key and secret set up with twitter, but when I try to use it with Tweetbot it can never connect. Any ideas as to why?

That probably explains why this menu is “super secret.”

I’m sure there’s a sequence of steps to get it to work properly, I’m just not finding them.
