BodyGuardz is well-known when it comes towards offering various protection films for various devices. Many may not know that they actually sell cases. One of the cases that they sell is called “Ciderz” (Amazon). Bumper cases are a very good choice when looking for a thin yet protective case, and this is somewhat like that. This case will run you $29.95.
Inside of the box, you’ll get the case itself, a front dry-apply screen protector and a back dry-apply screen protector. These screen protectors are made of the same material the wet applies are made of and, in my opinion, the static screen protectors are much easier to apply and don’t distort the screen. Although they aren’t the best screen protectors, the case makes up for them.
For starters, the inside of the bumper is much softer. This is good, because it won’t scratch your iPhone’s metal band over time. Overall, it’s made up of 2 different materials: very rigid plastic, soft TPU material.
There are individual cutouts for the dock port, speaker and microphone. The cutout is small on this case so aftermarket cables and even the older Apple cables won’t be compatible. On the left side, there is a cutout for the silent switch. You’ll also find the rather “mushy” volume button covers. The top has a very large cutout for the headphone jack port and secondary microphone, and I have not had any problems with thicker headphones. The power button is also covered and offers the same amount of feedback as the volume buttons, which isn’t much.
Overall, this is a pretty decent package, although it’s priced just a tad bit too high. But, if you’re looking for a single purchase that comes with a bumper and a few screen shields, then this is a pretty reliable way to go, especially since it’s coming from a reputable company.
