Apple has begun to send out invitations to select high-profile news publications regarding the long-awaited event for the new iPhone. You’ll see what the invitation looks like from the image to the left. What’s most interesting about it is that, if you look below the 12, you can see a 5. It was made more obvious once the brightness and contrast were decreased a little bit, as shown below. The time of the event is for 10AM Pacific on September the 12th (Wednesday).

The fact that there’s an obvious ’5′ within the invitation itself tells everyone that the next iPhone will indeed be called the iPhone 5.
