I dare say that The Snugg Nexus 7 Leather Case (Amazon) may be the best case on the market for the Nexus 7. They really nailed it with the design and all the features that come with the case. For me, this case had everything I’m looking for and I really can’t see myself needing or wanting anything else.

The first thing I noticed and really appreciated, was the minimalistic packaging that The Snugg used.  For one, it cuts down on shipping costs which is very nice.  But, it is also easy to recycle which I’m also a huge fan of.  So, all you get in the packaging is the case itself and a little cardboard piece giving some info about the case.  Now it does not include a screen protector, but you really don’t need one given this case offers full body protection.  This case is also retailing, on sale at $24.99 from $39.99.  In my opinion, you can’t go wrong with a price like that.

Right out of the packaging, you get a great smell of real leather.  This case is genuine leather, and looks great and feels great in the hand.  On top of that, The Snugg has done a great job on the stitching of this case which just looks superb.  You get a nice two-toned look with the black leather and the white stitching.  Once you open the case, you are greeted with a gorgeous black suede material that feels amazing. You also know that this suede is definitely going to protect your device from any scratches.  The device slides in easily from the left side and is held in place with a flap that’s attached with velcro, providing a very secure fit and leather around the bezel of your device for added protection.  The case closes nicely around the device offering a slim profile and sleek look.  All the cutouts are perfect, including a small cutout for the mic on the left side of the device, and a perfect cutout around the front facing camera. Oh, you also have easy access to your sleep/wake button & vibrate rockers.  On the bottom, you have a nice flap the tucks around the USB port to protect it from any dust and debris. It easily pops out to allow access to charging your device.  The headphone jack at the bottom is exposed, which means that it’s easy to plug in any audio output device.

There are three added features that The Snugg added that makes this case truly an all-in-one case.  First, this case has magnets built-in allowing for the sleep/wake function of the device when you open the front flap of the case.  I love having this feature, allowing for easy, simple access to your device.  Second, there is a nice hand strap on the inside of the front flap allowing you to easily hold the case with one hand securely.  I found this feature very handy when using my device as an e-reader.  I could securely hold my device and turn the page with only one hand.  Finally, there is a built in stand allowing for a great angle for viewing videos or surfing the web and also a great typing angle.
