At least, Google has finally released their own Maps application, properly named Google Maps, for Apple’s iOS devices. While the app has been rumored to be in the works for quite some time, it was unknown as to when it would be released. It’s available right now, for free, in the iTunes App Store. Ready for the link? Here it is: Clicky! At the time of this post, many users are reporting issues when attempting to download the application. The app itself weighs in a 6.7MB, and downloads map tiles on-the-fly. While iOS 5 users already have Google’s Maps app, the minimum required iOS version is iOS 5.1. Lastly, this app is iPhone 5-ready.
